Meet Vincent Zaldivar, the mastermind behind CocoTaps.

Vincent, also known as "Coco Vinny," saw a growing trend in coconut water consumption and realized there had to be a better way to access the delicious water inside fresh coconuts without the hassle.

Meet Coco Vinny

Vincent pitched CocoTaps on Shark Tank, looking for $150,000 for a 10% equity stake.

He demonstrated how his patented tool easily opens a coconut and then attaches a reusable, eco-friendly tap, allowing for easy drinking directly from the coconut.

The taps also help keep the coconut water fresh for days.

The sharks were impressed with the product's simplicity and eco-friendliness. Vincent explained that CocoTaps isn’t just about convenience; it’s also about reducing waste.

By offering a reusable tap, CocoTaps encourages people to enjoy fresh coconut water sustainably, avoiding single-use plastic bottles.

Lori Greiner, always keen on products that simplify life, saw the potential in CocoTaps.

However, she and the other sharks had concerns about the niche market and scaling the business.

Ultimately, none of the sharks made an offer, but they praised Vincent for his enthusiasm and innovative approach.

Despite leaving the tank without a deal, Vincent didn't let that stop him.

He continued to grow CocoTaps, focusing on building relationships with hotels, resorts, and grocery stores, where fresh coconuts with CocoTaps could be sold as a premium, eco-friendly product.

Today, CocoTaps has expanded its reach, providing fresh, eco-tapped coconuts to health-conscious consumers and eco-friendly establishments.

They’ve also launched a program to turn used coconuts into compost, furthering their commitment to sustainability.

It’s hard to say exactly how much the company is making now, but some sources say Vincent is making up to $1 million a year!

If you’re looking for a refreshing and sustainable way to enjoy coconut water, CocoTaps has cracked the code.

You can find their products on Amazon, making it easier than ever to enjoy a tropical treat.
